FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are lab grown diamonds?

Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same physical, chemical and optical properties as mined diamonds and offer the same brilliance, durability and beauty.

Are your diamonds certified?

Yes. All centre diamonds are independently certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI).

Can a jeweller tell the difference between a lab grown and mined diamond?

No. Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically and optically identical to mined diamonds. Specialised equipment is required to determine their origin.

Can I see my diamond before my ring is made?

Absolutely. Once your order is placed, we will personally source a diamond that meets your chosen specifications and send you a video for approval before production begins.

Why do I need to approve my diamond?

Every Norah Light ring is made to order. Before production begins, we'll send you a video of your selected IGI Certified diamond for approval. This ensures you're completely confident in your diamond before your ring is crafted.

Can I request a different diamond?

Yes. If you would like to explore alternative options, we can source additional diamonds for you to consider before your ring enters production.

Do you have a physical showroom?

No. Norah Light operates as a made to order online jewellery brand. This allows us to focus on exceptional quality and value without the overheads of a traditional retail showroom.

Where are you located?

Norah Light is based in Melbourne's south east and proudly serves customers throughout Australia.

How long will my order take?

Most Norah Light rings are completed within approximately four weeks from diamond approval. As each piece is made to order, we recommend allowing up to seven weeks during busy periods.

We'll keep you updated throughout the process and notify you as soon as your ring is ready.

What metals do you offer?

Our rings are available in 14k yellow gold, 14k white gold and platinum.

Why does Norah Light offer 14k gold?

At Norah Light, we have chosen to offer our gold rings in 14k gold because it provides an ideal balance of beauty, durability and everyday wearability.

Engagement rings are designed to be worn every day, and 14k gold is more resistant to scratching, bending and wear than higher purity gold alloys. This makes it particularly well suited to securing precious stones and maintaining its appearance over time.

While 18k gold contains a higher percentage of pure gold, it is also softer and more susceptible to everyday wear. For this reason, we believe 14k gold offers the best combination of strength, longevity and value for our customers.

What ring sizes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of Australian ring sizes. If you are unsure of your ring size, please contact us and we can provide guidance on measuring your ring size at home or recommend having your finger professionally sized by a local jeweller.

What if I order the wrong ring size?

We recommend confirming your ring size before placing your order. If you are unsure, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Should resizing be required after purchase, please contact us to discuss the available options.

Why are lab grown diamonds more affordable than mined diamonds?

Lab grown diamonds do not require mining, allowing larger, higher quality diamonds to be offered at a more accessible price point while maintaining the same beauty and durability as mined diamonds.

Are lab grown diamonds durable?

Yes. Lab grown diamonds are identical to mined diamonds in hardness and durability, making them suitable for everyday wear.

Do your rings come with a warranty?

Yes. All Norah Light rings are covered by our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty.

What does your Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty cover?

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in workmanship. It does not cover accidental damage, loss, theft, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by improper care.

Do you offer returns?

As every Norah Light ring is made to order, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind. If you have concerns about your order, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.

How do I care for my ring?

We recommend cleaning your ring regularly using warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Periodic professional cleaning and inspections are also recommended to keep your ring looking its best.

How do I contact Norah Light?
